<p>Looking at Whitman’s '09-'10 Common Data Set, it looks like 44% of the freshman class was from ED and the ED acceptance rate was 73%. Whitman’s website says ED acceptances are limited to 25% of the freshman class. Is this 25% policy new for this year? or is it just not true?</p>
<p>pcmtnbiker–how did you get 44% of the freshman class? I get 34.5%. 396 total freshmen, 137 admitted ED.</p>
<p>Sorry, you’re right - it was 34.5%. But my question remains: is the statement on Whitman’s ED admissions page “Our policy of limiting Early Decision to no more than 25% of our entering class…” mean that this is a NEW policy for the freshman class entering in 2010, or just wrong/a mistake?</p>
