Whitman RD 2020

Lindagaf, congratulations! I hope they can help out.

Hey guys! I’m from Florida and really excited to be accepted. 3.6 uw, 4.2 w, 2130 SAT

craZZyprocess
They stated the number of students who applied and the number of spots that were available. Over 3,800 applied, 415 spots available.

Blackwatercity, they accepted far more than 415 applicants. A significant number of people who are accepted will not enroll. They oversell, so to speak.

Waitlisted :frowning:
I was kind of surprised :frowning: 4.7 W GPA and 3.9 UW
Oh well, congrats to all those who got in

Accepted, financial offer underwhelming, apparently they make offers to many whom they are sure will not accept for the statistics.

Huh? Why would that help with statistics, it just drives down their yield numbers?

Accepted!!
34 ACT, 4.3 W and 4.0 UW. For financial aid, I received 15k of Merit and 25.5k of Need-Based. Pleasantly surprised with the package and excited to attend next year.

dlfarthing, congratulations!

Accepted!!! 4.0 weighted GPA, 2000 SAT, 29 ACT and got 12k merit! Bummed that I didn’t get any need based but I am still waiting to hear back from two more schools. I also got the nylon bag several weeks ago. If it helps anyone, I participated in the fall visit scholarship program and I think that helped me in the admissions process. Good luck to everyone!

Rejected. 26 ACT and 3.7 GPA weighted. Kind of confused why they sent me the bag in the mail but I dont really care ill still use it for the gym, LOL. Kind of relieved though, I applied just for the heck of it and wasnt really interested. Got amazing offers from American and UT Austin so it’s nice to know that my college search and stress is closer to being finished. Congratulations to those who were accepted though!

S Accepted (got a LL) - 15K merit and generous need based aid

4.0/4.6 GPA
2320 SAT
11 APs/ 2 DE classes

No bag though!

@Lindagaf I tried to get them to fly him out but they were unable. The admission officer did try to see if they could swing it, but he did not qualify for any of the fly out programs that were coming up.

Accepted.

Whitman is probably top choice - followed by Macalester and Puget Sound. Visiting Puget Sound 4/15 and Whitman 4/16 for accepted student days. (If anyone else is doing the same I could use a ride!!)
