Whitman vs. U of Chicago

Hey---I haven't poseted in the U of C forum for a while...b/c i frankly I was surprised that I was even admitted...anyways--I need some help on deciding between U of C and Whitman College. I am running out of time and just need pure facts on the pros and cons of U of C / Whitman. Personally I know I will be happy at either school b/c I am able to adapt, but any help would be great considering my time is running out.

Well, size wise UChicago is a bit bigger for undergrads; I think it's close to 4000 vs 1600. The biggest difference, aside from academic programs, would be the setting.

UChicago is very much urban, but not in as bad a neighborhood as some people would tell you. The area it's in is more like a close-in suburb than pure downtown. Whitman is very rural. Walla Walla actually has about 30,000 people, but when I visited it felt like a town of 15,000 tops. They don't have many amenities of the city (or even of a small suburb). It seemed like a classic sleepy Midwestern town, even though it's in Washington state.

What are going to study? UChicago is more science, math, and social science focused whereas Whitman is more humanities focused. Hope that helps
