Any information on this topic guys??

I decided on Sunday that I will attend Whitman this fall. I essentially had it narrowed down to Whitman and Kenyon. I attended the Admitted Students Day in Walla Walla this past weekend and fell in love. From the summer camp atmosphere, to the awesome outdoor program, top notch academics and friendly, down to earth students, I knew it was the place for me. It didn't hurt that I received a nice scholarship as well.

Just some food for thought: A family friend of mine had two exceptionally bright children, one went to Harvard, the other to Whitman - they said hands down their student at Whitman received a better education. Just another piece of information...

Good Luck with your decision!

How far away from Whitman do you live?? Is it going to be a hassle for you to get there---b.c I live in the Chicago area and it is easy to get to seatle of portland, but it is not very easy to get to Whitman from there...

I have a child who goes to Whitman (loves it). He flies into Seattle and then takes a one hour flight to Walla Walla. It's not as convenient as a direct flight, but, if you time your flights right, there is a very short interlude between them. The Walla Walla Airport is 5 minutes from campus and extremely user friendly. No need to worry about long lines, free parking right out front, etc. Although it is not particularly cheap, if you and your get Alaska Airlines credit cards, it is easy enough to rack up the miles for free flights. Good luck and best wishes.
