<p>hello guys, I am an international student entering Northeastern this fall.
I just got my room assignment, apparently Speare Hall... I really wanted to get a dorm in the International Village. So I was wondering, are upperclassmen the only one elligible for dorms in this building?

<p>Apparently only honors program’s freshman and ones that choose Gender Neutral housing as their LLCs are eligible to have spots in the IV. Last year it was Global Frontiers and Honors LLCs that got in the IV but I guess they changed it this year… BTW, where are you from?</p>

<p>I don’t think your major plays a role. It’s based on the LLC you select and when you got your housing deposit in. The roommate part is based on the survey, and people with the same major may have similar interests and therefore end up together, but I don’t think major is used directly in determining housing.</p>
<p>No their picked by the LLC you get. Its an open group, look up Speare Hall 2012-2013; also if your a member of the Northeastern 116th entering class FB someone can add you to the group just post saying your in speare hall.</p>
