Who Did You Turn Down For Binghamton?

It seems as though this forum is starting to die down and the mail from Binghamton has subsided. Understanding this, I find it appropriate to stir up a bit of conversation. Which schools did you turn down for Binghamton? In addition, if you're willing to take the time, why did you turn those schools down?

I'll start.

Universities/Colleges
[ul]
[]University at Buffalo
[]University at Albany
[]Stony Brook University
[]Rutgers University
[]University of Miami
[]SUNY-New Paltz
[/ul]

Why?

SUNY: I rejected all of the other SUNY schools because Binghamton, when compared to any other SUNY school, has a superior business program.

University of Miami: I reluctantly rejected the University of Miami because, if I had chosen to attend Miami, I would not have the funds to study abroad. Another reason is that, from what I've researched, the University of Miami doesn't have a reputable business program. It was incredibly difficult to kiss the idea of Florida weather goodbye, especially when comparing it to Binghamton.

Rutgers: Rutgers has a lot of history, a great business program, school pride, and was in a better location. The price tag as an out of state student was much larger and the two business programs seemed to be on par with each other. The biggest thing that turned me off about Rutgers was the price, the enormous campus, and student population. During accepted student day at Binghamton, the students I spoke to seemed incredibly intelligent whereas at Rutgers's accepted student day I could not really say I saw that in any of the students that I spoke to.

No one. Only school I applied to :-D

Totally kidding about Vassar lmao

Suffolk University- It was actually cheaper to go here because of grants and scholarships but their business program was no where to be found in any business rankings. They have a campus in Spain and tuition there was really cheap which was enticing but in the end I could not risk graduating with massive amounts of debt and unemployed. My competition in Boston would be Harvard grads, Columbia grads, Boston U etc.

Loyola University Chicago- Decent financial aid and decent business program but in the end Binghamton’s business program was better.

Hofstra University- Overpriced.

Baruch- It came down to Baruch and Bing and I decided Bing for their social life and cheaper cost of living.

Denied- I did not go into UNC and if I did I probably would have attended UNC. Still waiting on USC but I am not expecting to get in so I am expecting to attend Bing 2012.

Cornell, RPI, WPI, Stevens, Clarkson, Stony Brook, Buffalo

Northeastern, Boston U, Trinity College & Penn St/Schreyer Honors College

Stonybrook, Geneseo, Buffalo

lehigh, northeastern, union college, quinnipiac, fordham

Carnegie Mellon, Stony Brook, U Buffalo, Buffalo State, RPI, RIT, UMaryland College Park

Binghamton = Best Decision of My Life.

American University (no FA), Stony Brook, New Paltz, Ithaca College

Binghamton was the best school and had the best price, with a major that is perfect for me. No contest.

stony brook university, university at buffalo, suny albany, suny oneonta, adelphi university and st. john’s university. I got way more money from all of these schools then binghamton initially gave me, but binghamton has been my dream school for forever, so I just went with my gut.

Stony Brook, Brandeis, New Paltz, Geneseo, Muhlenberg, Delaware, and Connecticut. Bing was my first choice, though I was accepted to all the schools I applied to

Geneseo, Brandeis, William and Mary, UMass, Cornell transfer. I kind of knew it’d be Binghamton before I got any acceptance letters.
