Tulane is, if not my absolute first choice, really high up on my list. If I got in, I would probably be ready to commit right away. I haven’t visited New Orleans recently, but I love the city so much, and Tulane itself I feel would be great for my interests. At the beginning of high school I was gun-ho on pursuing medicine, but honestly, as my interests have evolved, I might be interested in medicine, but I can really explore my other passions if I can go to Tulane, and choose the right career path for me.
@DebmomNY Already submitted my application via Tulane portal almost a month back! I spent a lot of time writing my Why Tulane essay and I think it turned out pretty well.
@fehministic Yeah it’s pretty much the same deal with me, the only thing that kept me from applying ED was the question of merit aid, but I hear that Tulane is generous with merit aid, so I am hoping for the best. Hope to see you on campus next fall!
I’m applying ED! I’ll also be there Sunday for the Preview day. I’m anxious but I also think that I have a slim shot of getting in, so I’m trying to be positive… I like my Why Tulane essay a lot, my counselor thinks it’s strong. I’m hoping to submit Sunday directly after the campus day. Wishing all of yall luck!
I’m in the middle of midterms week (I’m an international, so my school schedule is different) and haven’t had time to submit my app, but I’m DEFINITELY applying EA. @BigGali@naf619 fingers crossed for all of us!
I submitted my app 10/09, and i’m really anxious to hear back. I don’t know if any of you know this, but you know how Tulane’s alumni interview program isn’t open to everyone, and they send you an email if you’re selected? I never got an email, but a few days ago on my portal (checking to make sure my counselor sent everything in), there was a new form titled “Alumni Interview Request form”. I filled it out, but does that just mean I’m interested in having an interview or that they want me to participate in one?
@dolphnlvr6 From the website: "If invited to participate in an alumni interview, the applicant will receive an email encouraging them to register for the program. At this point, a change will be made in their application status portal, listing a new item under their Application Checklist, titled “Alumni Interview Request Form.” "
So, I got the form on my portal, but never an email. That’s why I’m confused.
