Who else is stuck on "We received the fall grades we requested"?

It seems like everyone is either being reviewed or forwarded so I figured we ought to see if anyone else is in our boat (because it appears to be the less desirable boat to be in).

A lot of SCA applicants have said that they are stuck on the fall grades status and SCA normally doesn't hear until the end of March. So I guess the best question to ask is what school did everyone apply to?

I am. And I thought USC would be a relatively easy school for me to get into…

Stats:
GPA - 4.6 weighted, 4.3 unweighted
SAT - 2230
SAT II - Math 730, Bio 770
Mostly AP classes, equestrian, Chinese club president, three jobs…

My daughter is-

Stats:
3.87
ACT 35
SAT 2210
SAT II Eng: 780 Math II 660
Lots of APs and Honors, Yrbook Editor, National Hispanic Scholar, Commended
Applied to Biology

well you both have really good stats so maybe “fall grades” isn’t necessarily a “bad” status… maybe it’s just limbo.

I’ve been stuck at “We received the fall grades we requested, and require no additional information at this time. We will mail decisions to freshman applicants by April 1st” since I reported my Mid Year grades in January. My stats arent that great:

SAT I: not saying
SAT II: Us History 670
GPA UW: 4.16
One AP in junior year and one honors(school doesnt offer more than 2 that year) and I take 4 now as a senior
EC’s: Block Club(leadership), yearbook editor, LVY(leadership), track and field, CSF
Numerous class awards, first generation student

Just got rejected by UCLA. I was hoping this school would accept me it really is my dream to attend a college in the city that I LOVE…Applied to LMU as well…UCLA was my first rejection out of 6 schools.

I thought of USC as a safety as well…not so sure anymore.

Applying to Viterbi for BME.

3.7 having taken every almost every AP class my school offers in addition to college classes at a local state university.

SAT 2310

3 Varsity Sports…excellent extracurriculars.

Stats:
4.4 UW, top 5%
ACT 31
SAT na
SAT II na
12 APs, very good extracurrics, very good essays

So, after seeing all of your guys stats (since I, too, have the "We received the fall grades we requested) I definitely feel like this status may be a good boat to be in…

I was looking at last year’s threads… a lot of people with this status got accepted but a lot didn’t. By the way, did anyone else already have “your application is being reviewed”? Because that’s what my status was before they requested fall grades…

i think it’s not good nor bad. mine literally updated the day after i submitted my scores so a decision could not have been made that fast. and i have no idea what i had before, i hadn’t checked until i got the “send us your grades” letter

Mine updated the day after I submitted mine as well. I went from preliminary to being reviewed to fall grades.

So we’re in limbo, basically.

a few people has our status but didnt get stuck at it, meaning there’s changed. sooo maybe it not changing isnt good

If you scroll to the bottom of this page there are some related threads from last year. It seems like people with the “fall grades” status were getting updated to “being reviewed” around this time next week. One of them (tor-dazzle, an SCA applicant) got an update near the 18th and got in.

yeah well mine hasn’t changed yet. and from what i hear, getting a fall grades request is a bad thing in general

Why would it be a bad thing? If anything it means they haven’t denied you yet and they’re still interested in you for admission.

I feel like it either means that…

They’re interested in you for admission, and want to check in to make sure you’ve kept up your grades during your senior year.
OR

You’re borderline for admission and you’re senior grades might give you the extra boost needed to continue being considered for admission.

I highly doubt USC would ask for your fall grades if you they had already decided to reject you. I, too, received the letter and have the same status as you, jackdaniels, so I’m hoping they asked for grades because they’re still interested in us!

I’m in the same boat as you guys. My status went from reviewed to preliminary to received fall grades. I applied for the Marshall school of business.
btw i was wondering if anyone with this status can access the enrollment deposit link?/get accepted today?
cause, seeing the stats of y’all, it’s not bad. maybe we’re just designated to be accepted in the next wave.

I had the ‘we recieved fall grades’ for quite a while too, but yesterday it just changed to ‘forwarded’.

Yeah, I think our statuses should change to the “forwarded” stage within the next few days before they act on our applications. For some reason, I don’t think we’ll be in the wave that’s happening now.

My status just changed from fall grades to forwarded. So far it’s been being reviewed > preliminary > fall grades > forwarded.

If you don’t mind me asking, what are your stats?
