Who else is stuck on "We received the fall grades we requested"?

Does everyones change to forwarded eventually? I’m STILL stuck at fall grades!!

Yes, everyone’s will change eventually.

jackdaniels, I’ve seen you around and it seems that we are in the same boat. I did some backwards research and realized that from here on out, more people will be changed to the “forwarded” status from the status that we both currently have (fall grades). This should happen every tuesday-thursday for the rest of march because accepted students will receive their letters and more will be forwarded to committee as that happens.

FP9, that’s what I’m thinking too. Hopefully sometime around this week we will have the forwarded status. Do you think when we have it is just random? Or is it by last name, geographic area, etc etc?

You never know, the “forwarded status” might be skipped (since it’s nearing April already) and go directly to “your application is currently being reviewed.”

I think its by qualification personally, as you’ll see the quality of applicants (though still spectacular) begin to drop as far as acceptances go, at least thats what i saw from scouring the old threads. Geographic area, last name, I would highly doubt.

No but “forwarded” means they are reviewing your application for again after receiving fall grades. So it doesn’t make sense that fall grades >> forwarded would be based on quality. Fall grades >> review, however, is probably based on quality. But not even being on forwarded yet must mean they have yet to look at our fall grades/extra info yet

FP9, you’re kind of correct. They definitely kind of do it by qualifications.

My status just changed from “forwarded” to “being reviewed!”

I know it may not mean much, but I’m just excited to see something new since it’s been stuck at “forwarded” for such a long time.

^^ that’s the “accepted” status progression…

@ dreamupsided0wn

I hope that it’s true for me!
I’m not thinking too much about it though, just so I won’t get my hopes up.

Yeah ive been goin through the same stuff as jackdaniels… no status change whatsoever… although it doesn’t seem logical that they would ask for fall grades without the intention at looking over them and deciding from there so I remain hopeful. Plus my senior year grades are mad good, 97/96 % respectively, and so I’m just hopin they’ll get to us soon… I feel for you tho daniels and fp9… hopefully we will all rejoice soon enough

At this point Im not panicking as I was early today when I read that people were getting letters. I think I’m a mid level applicant and not at the bottom of the stack as far as that goes so I can only hope that I get a letter next Monday, if not, it wont kill me to wait another week… although that will probably mean many more hours spent on CC.

yeah my grades were probably the worst they have ever been! but hopefully they’ll take the 5 AP courses senior year into consideration. Plus my rank barley went down so i’m still in top 5%. I’m sure you’re fine though Randy! Good luck guys, I’ll let you know when/if mine ever changes haha

hahhah true that yo… CC is an addiction now… its kinda sad in a bit but if/once i get accepted I think ill wean myself off of the constant checking of the status’ and new posts about acceptances hahaha

i’m stuck on

“Your application is being reviewed by the admission committee. We will mail notification of their decision by April 1. If for some reason you don’t receive our written notice, we will be happy to provide the results over the phone beginning April 11th.”

i dont think it’s changed since i submitted it… is that bad? i got accepted to ucla’s engineering school. usc is my first choice though.

@andrewborba

did you try checking through the back door method?

no… what would the back door method be?

Randy1991 hahaha yea i basically sit around and check cc all the time now. it’s pretty pathetic

thanks to @dreamupsidedown

What is the “back door method” of checking your acceptance?

 1. Open USConnect in Internet Explorer. Not Firefox, Internet Explorer. Or whatever you use normally to view USConnect. I find that IE is the most reliable for this job. If you use Firefox you can go to the “admitted applicants” page from the dropdown menu and log in manually by clicking the “enrollment deposit” box. But that’s the long way. If you try copy and pasting the URL into Firefox, you’ll just get a blank page.
 2. Log in to USConnect. You may want to check the Admission tab first to see if you’ve gotten the boxes on your portal yet. If not, then move onto step 3.
 3. Without closing the page where you just logged in, copy and paste the link (https://usconnect.usc.edu:447/Render...ification.aspx</a>) into the same page’s URL box. Go to this new URL. It’s important that you don’t close the page where you initially logged in, otherwise it will log you out and you’ll get a blank page.
 4. A white page will come up with the “enrollment deposit” box in the top left corner. Click the box.
 5. It will either say “user is unauthorized” or it will have a form pre-filled with your name, address, etc. You want the latter.
 6. Sometimes this method doesn’t work even if you have been accepted. It takes up to 7 days for the link to work so even if it doesn’t let you access it, you still may have been accepted.
