Who got accepted to Andover and is not willing to go?

I'm just wondering and please tell me the reason why....

Several years ago, Son#1 was accepted to Andover and chose not to go.
Ultimately he decided he did not want to board and instead attended a very good day school with admission standards that rival Andover and similar college acceptaces as well.

Looking back now I am grateful he stayed home with the family--we enjoyed seeing every one of his sporting events, athletic banquets, and having his day school friends to our home. We took pictures of he and his prom/semi formal dates. He was also able to see his friends from our town as often as he liked

This was best for our first son and our family. Now it looks that son #2 may follow a similar path

Well, I wasn't accepted to Andover but I was accepted to Exeter (close enough) and I've always had second thoughts about going. Apart from the classic being-away-from-home, new country, new everything, tougher standards, I have some other concerns. For one, my lifestyle would totally change. Instead of living in the party town of Montreal (parties, concerts, festivals, girls, girls and girls) I'd be living the dry city of Exeter. Instead of going to a beer bash Friday, and spending some late Saturdays/early Sundays with my girlfriend (No more needs to be said), I'd be studying or, at best, seeing the great sites of the little town. Obviously, its' a give and take relationship - you have to give up certain things in order to gain others. Still, most of my friends call me insane for leaving the city.

Other reasons...less guys than I originally thought from Montreal were accepted to Exeter, I recieved nothing/pathetic FA, and I'm recieving some other offers from Montreal schools/sport teams that are attractive.

so canadiankid, are you gonna go to exeter?

Well right now, probobly ya. Still not entirely sold on it yet.
