So.. this is a bit shocking for me to..
after a long long period of consideration.. i turned down andover's acceptance and decided to go to L'ville..

I dont even know if this is the right choice.. but L'ville's a really fine boarding school too so i guess its alright.

so.. is anyone out there that's also turning down andover's acceptance? (just curious ';)

Congratulations! You’re off to a wonderful school. Don’t second guess your decision. Thanks for helping others to see that names really don’t matter nearly as much as some here would have you believe. If it helps, my niece just turned down Harvard in favor of CalTech.
Good luck to you.

Dude i would do the same things. L’ville is in my opinion alot better of a school than andover and its smaller which makes it great. l’ville would be a better “fit” for me

Whatever floats your boat. They’re both really great schools and not many people have the sense to turn down an invitation from a more prestigious school for one thats actually better suited for them.

There were definitely other kids at the Lville revisit yesterday who turned down Andover to attend Lawrenceville. So you are not alone. We met several kids committed to L’ville who also turned down Choate (several), Exeter (one), Hotchkiss (one or two), Deerfield (one), SPS (two). Of course who knows ehere someone is really accepted, but quite a few of the revisiting kids yeterday (their parents) had a variety of top schools to pick from, and just a few days to decide…

:) Lawrenceville will rock your socks!! I’d do the same. Like lemmings said, it’s a better fit for me too, and its matric made my jaw drop. haha literally.

Oh and fyi, my student host on revisits did the same.
