<p>My family has been nagging me about getting into davis since elementary school.</p>
<p>I got into UCSC and all, but my mom wont stop pestering me to check my emails. However, thanks to Davis’ amazing system, the rest of us don’t hear anything for a week+ until they finally decide to throw us a bone.</p>

<p>got the email at 1 on the first tuesday after may 1st, then it was up on the portal. not sure which came first, didn’t actually check my email till that evening</p>

<p>A lot of people are hoping its today ( A WEEK AFTER FIRST RESPONSE!?), so I’m hoping as well. Really wanna get into Davis rather than go to UCSC…</p>
<p>i know man, i am going insane waiting too. i just got into UCSB on sunday off the wait list, so i am definitely happy about that. but i would definitely take davis over over SB. it SHOULD come out today…it makes sense to.</p>
<p>@jermaphobe: I got the email first saying congratulations, and then I logged into my account and it said I had been accepted off the waitlist. Then it gave me a link to another page that had info about what I should do and deadlines and whatnot. Good luck!

<p>UCSC already wants me to submit my housing deposit by the 20th. If I don’t hear back by then, I’m out anohter 300 or so bucks because of this damned wait.</p>
<p>this is what my friend said, he called uc davis undergraduate admissions office today: i just called them. she says they already sent 500 offers last week and now the only available spots would be from people repealing their SIRs or people denying waitlist acceptances. So, most probably they wont have one big release day like they did last tuesday :/</p>

<p>I agree. I can’t bring myself to get fully excited about Santa Cruz until I know for certain I’m not going to be accepted (which I figure is a near certainty now)</p>

<p>yeah guys, i’m pretty bummed about it myself. i actually really want to go to uc davis. the part that really annoys me is that i know i would have gotten in if i had chosen an easier major. but my parents were dumb and made me choose a hard one, comp sci & engineering. but yeah i kinda wish davis just rejected me now itself. but on the bright side, i did get into UCSB off the wait list! so that will be fun next yearr</p>
<p>I chose Psychology. I was unaware that in America even the *<strong><em>heads choose psychology as their *</em></strong>ing major (my family comes from Russia, and I’ve always been interested in neuro-science)</p>
<p>I know there must be some dumbasses who got into Davis with a psych major who couldn’t even describe the structure of a neuron. Pft</p>

<p>Cell body, dendrites, and axon are the basic structures. Then yea, the myelin sheath, synapses, etc.</p>

<p>my 200 word essay didn’t really state how i needed to go to which department and i didn’t praise their school. will this affect me? i thought it would be cliche to write how excellent their program is etc… so i talked about why i needed to go to davis with psychology terms lol…</p>
