Yeah, I told them how I loved their diverse community and I would make them proud as a physician alumni from Davis. Apparently they have enough Russian Jew doctors there? hehe

has anyone actually been denied off the waitlist?

jermaphobe, psychology is their most popular major.

OH MY GOD! LOL… DANG >_> okay, for sure i’ll get rejected. dang it… i should have chosen winery or something.

PhantomBMAN… so… u told them… that u wud definitely become a after graduating? o_O?

I have been accepted off the UCD Waitlist! yayyy!
i was accepted may 7! (last tuesday)
=]
good luck to everyone!

So is that it?

Yeah, I told them I would definitely become a doctor, or something else in the medical profession. I know that’s what I’m doing, and I plan on following through. Damned Davis won’t just say “no” to anyone yet, they’re leading us on. I called the offices, and they said to wait a couple more weeks for an answer. bastards

so is it over?.. no more acceptance? is the next wave rejection letters? DAM… im depressed -_______-…

So I just called admissions to try and get an idea where things stand for my daughter at this point in time. I explained that we needed to sign up and pay for orientations and in our case plane tickets, hotel etc. since she sent in her SIR to UW and wanted an idea of whether or not there would be a next wave of acceptance soon. She did say that something might come next week but in all honesty to go ahead and make our plans. Got the impression that whatever comes next week will be rejections. She couldn’t come out and say directly but from what she was intimating, I don’t think there will be anymore acceptances off the waitlist!! Oh well, looks like out of state tuition for us!!!

What a bunch of moronic jackasses. Every kid on the waitlist is waiting for an official word from that damned school so that they know how to plan things out, and instead they wait for the last god damned week to tell us.

I swear, if I would get accepted by Davis after paying the housing costs and everything for UCSC, I wouldn’t be happy, I’d probably drive over to admissions and smack them for their incompetence.

this makes me depressed -________-… obviously the next wave coming up are rejections… since it seems like no one has been rejected yet from the waitlist… Davis was my only hope, i guess i’ll be attending cal poly slo… and i guess i better pay for my housing fee soon before i won’t get a dorm that i want…

Maybe i’ll get lucky and actually everyone waitlisted will be given a spot!! LOL -__- need to keep on dreaming…!

I actually got rejected from SLO, hahaha. Some girl in my class (dumb as a rock) got in though. SHe applied to Communications, haha.

what was your major for SLO?..

mine was child development, so i guess i got the easy way in… LOL…

tbh, i really didn’t think SLO was that great after they accepted me cause i am dumb as a rock also -____-

I had hopes of attending UC Davis for the last few months. I even flew out to Davis, went on a tour and did some research on the various programs and etc, so I could include them in my essay. What an effing waste of my money. I know I wont get in now, I have nothing going for me with my weak GPA and SAT scores. Probably the biggest mistake on my behalf was choosing Biological Sciences as my major. The MOST POPULAR MAJOR at the school. WHY?? WHAT WAS I THINKING??? And the fact that they wait till the final week of May to send out rejections is just pathetic. Makes me just wonder why I am trying so hard to go to a school that clearly doesnt want me. I wish that I had just got rejected on the spot instead of gaining this stupid false hope for nothing.

Guess this means University of Puget Sound for me I really cant get very excited for it. I just thought I would have some luck with Davis and I thought it was my destiny after getting rejections from UCI (my original top choice) and UCSB. Anyway, efff those bastards and the UC system (except UCLA). Puget Sound said they will give me a guaranteed transfer to Columbia, Duke, Wash U, or USC after three years for engineering. (all 100000000x better than UC Davis :p) Looks like a good deal, but 3 years is a lifetime. :(

Good luck to you guys. Even if you dont get in, theres always better options out there than this place. Try not to get too discouraged like me.

I feel for you Shaq dude. All of my friends are going to Davis, and I’ll be going lone wolf to UCSC.

Jerm, I applied into Psychology, apparently another hard to get into major. I figured I had good chances with all of my volunteer work, dedication to science, etc. Guess not. Pricks.

is its for sure that the next wave is rejection right?..

Maybe my daughter’s space at UC Davis will be available to one of you. She’s going to Cal Poly SLO. And, decided against USC <----- Too much $$$$.

And, no, she’s *not *dumb as a rock.

I feel like the next wave is probably just going to be No’s with maybe a few yes’ sprinkled around the place.
With my luck this admission season though, I’m not too optimistic

Phantom, you will like UCSC. I know a few people who have been up there for visits and they said they loved it. Beautiful campus, right next to the coast and Big Sur. Beats being surrounded by miles of farmland

I tried to downplay that when I visited Davis cause I was dying to go there, but thats the reality. it is in the middle of nowhere.
