<p>I sort of do. It’s pretty hard, and I’m getting worried about the AP exam.</p>
<p>It’s a fairly tough class for me, but I’m actually enjoying it.</p>
<p>Where are you guys in AP Chem at the moment?</p>
<p>Just finished Chapter 4 in The Central Science (Solubility, Molarity, Aqueous Solutions etc.) We’re going to fly through the next few chapters.</p>
<p>Oh wow. We’re still there; we just finish the preparing solutions lab today.</p>
<p>It doesn’t seem that bad so far. I heard it gets really hard at kinetics. :F</p>

<p>what chapters have you all done so far? my class seems rather different, we use Chang and we’re currently doing Ch 10: Bonding II (hybrid orbitals and such… a.k.a. ABSOLUTE DEATH)</p>
<p>AP Chem is one of my worst classes this year. The teacher is really boring, which ordinarily would be fine since I know to only rely on myself to self-study, but I remember just enough from Honors Chem to make the first 6 or so chapters repetitive and boring, which greatly hinders me from studying them. I guess I should just skip to a chapter I know nothing about and go from there.</p>
<p>Same as Harambee: it’s a tough class, but I’m enjoying it.</p>
<p>DO u think I’ll be ok taking AP Chem next yr? I had it back in 10th grade and chose to take Physics this yr instead. I’m taking AP Calc and AP Stat nxt yr as well, very good with formulas, and I understand the logic behind them as oppose to mindless number plugging. Basically, does good math student= good AP chem student?</p>
<p>We’re currently learning electrochemistry. We aren’t doing labs until after the AP test considering my school decided to make spring break the week before the AP test :|</p>
<p>My class started with kinetics xD. It was killer. Then we did equilibrium, then the first part of acids and bases, and now we’re doing structure and bonding etc.</p>

<p>I <3 AP Chem. Read through the whole textbook by the end of the first three months of last year’s school year, then roflstomped my way through the year, forgot all of it after AP tests, and bombed my SAT IIs into the 90th percentile.</p>
<p>I kind of like it but at the same time it’s like DIE! It’s my only C. >.<</p>
<p>My teacher can’t teach. He doesn’t even make an effort to do so anymore. We have these things called daily quizzes and they are on what we JUST learned. So it’s like “Um… you do realize that we only got the assignment for this yesterday and it’s not due for another day, right?” D:</p>
<p>We did the first four chapters of Chemistry: The Central Science and now we’re doing chapter twenty, electrochemistry.</p>

AP Chem is not hard. It is easy at some aspects. No real big math. Just understand the concepts and get into “the mode,” then you’re set to go.
Anyway, I should stop lurking and start on my lab report.</p>
<p>I thought it’d be super hard but it’s not bad once you read the chapters over and over again and understand the concepts. We’re using chemistry: central science textbook. One thing I do despise are the chemistry labs though. My first two labs were each about 9-10 pages typed and my teacher wrote “needs more detail!” on both of them. ***.</p>

I’m wondering if it’s the Chang book? Anyone else not learning so well from it?</p>

<p>Actually, one of my college application essays was about how much I love AP Chem.</p>
<p>When compare to AP Phys C, I find that AP Chem is way harder. We just finished the bonding chapter. and I got a 52% on the test.</p>
