who hates your school?

harvard yale and princeton all like us (last year 3 to H and Y each and 2 to P), columbia likes us too (5 people from last year are there now), but stanford HATES us for some reason, like seriously nobody gets in (well only one person last year, but that was the first in a long time, and she made major scientific discoveries while doing a research program at harvard and she was really a remarkable candidate)

I never find out rejections, but I can tell you who loves my high school. Arizona, Arizona State, and Northern Arizona LOVE my high school- almost everybody in the graduating class attends one of the three or the local community college. I'm not surprised. yawn

My school has only been around 8 years, but from the info I have, no one has ever been admitted (fully admitted -- we've had a couple waitlists) to Harvard, Princeton, Stanford, Duke, Yale, Columbia, etc. It's kind of sad because I go to a good school in Fairfax County, NoVA, which has a good rep. I think the problem is is that our school is so huge that they can't give any of the kids with potential enough guidance to do what they have to. Well, we got one in at Upenn last year, I think, a few at Cornell, and one in at Brown ED this year, so we'll see...

UVA and VTech love us, though.

MIT -- a bunch of people from c/o 2006 got admitted there, but nobody went. So, now, they only accept one or two people from my school. (Some people get rejected from MIT but accepted into CalTech)

i dont know if any schools hates us....our applicants are just usually too unspectacular to be admitted into HYPSM. We get brown and penn every now and then. One cornell hotel this year so far

MIT appears to hate our school. Kids here often get deferred EA then rejected. No one has ever been accepted.

However, Columbia seems to love us :) It's not a lot, but at least two people are accepted every year.

No one from our school gets into any top tier colleges, apparently. So the staff don't know much about admissions...

I'm gonna have to do a bit of checking, but I believe I am the first person from my school to apply to an Ivy League school. My small school has been around for about 75 years. It's just that no one from my rural area even believes it is possible/affordable to go to one. My brother did get accepted to MIT though.

MIT, USC, Northwestern, Cornell, Brown all love my school.

Harvard..not so much.

My public HS sends a bunch of students to the top schools;
Going by hw many more above the normal admit % get into these
schools here is the who loves/hates my school list.....

Loves my HS:Harvard, MIT, Caltech, Stanford, Duke, WUSTL, Vanderbilt, McGill, Pomona, UCs, UVA, JHU, BC, UWM, Barnard, Princeton, Gtown

Infatuated with my HS: Dartmouth, Cornell, Brown, UPenn, Columbia, Tufts, UNC, Oxford, UChicago

Hates my HS: Yale?

NYU, Harvard (3 attended, 5 got in), Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, GWU, Brown all love our school.

Yale hates us. Its like 1 guy every 4 years. And its always been a basketball player.

Yale hates us, too. We haven't got someone in since 1993.
Harvard has been about 5 years, but we had Princeton, UPenn, Darmouth, and Columbia consistently with one or two going every year or two.

Georgetown, Notre Dame, and WashU seem to take several kids every single year
