wait McGill doesn't look at frosh year. **** yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I still have: Further Review Required

and it says that I haven't sent in my midyear report but I sent it in a month ago! hmm...

The same thing happened to me a while back. I think McGill lost my midyear report because my other colleges got it, but all I had to do was resend it

My decision is still pending until I send in my second semester midterms, which I won't have for another week or two. Does anyone else have this? Because I'm worried about not be able to finish my application until into April. Also I'm gonna be super angry if I don't get in, given how long they've been leading me on now without refusing me.

Just wondering, does mcgill allow appeals? :/

you have to contact admission office (by email)

From the McGill website:

Procedures for Requesting a Reconsideration of an Admissions Decision:

This has all the info you need. Good luck.

I GOT IN! FINALLY!
thanks for support here everyone :)

^ wow, congrats!
When did you hear from them? was it by mail or email?

thanks, I'm still waiting to hear my status

thanks! i got in...last week, i think? i was just doing one of my frequent midnight checks on minerva out of boredom and insomnia and it said "admitted pending final results" =) it was awesome, but it would've been more exciting if it hadn't been 1 in the morning. they sent me an email 2-3 days later.

which faculty did you apply to? good luck!

EDIT: now that i think about it, i posted on this forum right after i got in, so that would mean i got in...four days ago (: wow...somehow it seemed longer than that.

I'm in a bit of a predicament. My status has been "Reviewed - Decision Pending" for the Interfaculty and the Science faculty since early March, and I must know whether I've been admitted or rejected before May 1st since this is the deadline for the US universities I've applied to. Several of my classmates have already been admitted to the Arts or Science faculties.

I wonder if the problem is due to my dual citizenship (I attend school in BC but my permanent residence is in California); this same problem occurred with U of T as they deferred my application for later review until they would receive my marks from the BC Ministry of Education, which wouldn't be until May-July. I had my counselor call a U of T Admissions Officer about this, and within a week, I was admitted. Still not sure what the problem was to begin with.

My counselor left a message with a McGill Admissions Officer on Monday about releasing my admission decision by mid-April instead of by May 17th, but no news yet.

Any suggestions/advice?

P.S. - I'm trying to decide between McGill (if I'm admitted) and UC Davis/UC Santa Barbara.

it's not so much your dual citizenship as it is that they look at canadian schools after american ones, since theres a difference in what grades they want to look at. Most of my friends in canada have been admitted by now though, at least those with good grades. you could always put a deposit down at UCD/UCSB first and not go if you get into Mcgill.

Yes, I know of that option, but it'd be more convenient for me to know earlier. :)
