Contrary to comments above, the RA position is actually really competitive to get (and that's often the case on many campuses as it's a great job). Usually if you get involved in housing stuff/ student government your first year, however, it's considered a big plus when it comes time for RA applications.

I am truly considering Case. I'm about 70% sure I'm going to Case, 10% each goes to Columbia, Cornell, and Northwestern. Case felt like a really good fit for me. I visited campus, did the overnight stay (with friends, not hosts, so I got the real experience... and the realy nightlife/party-scene exposure), and have a heck of a lot more money coming from Case than anywhere else. I'm almost up to full tuition at Case.

I'm 65 Case 35 Miami- My miami visit today was pretty awesome. So I'm back at sqaure one

My daughter just returned from an overnight visit and loved it. She spent two nights at Case and came home very excited to attend Case Western. She loved Cleveland, went out to dinner in the city, loved University Circle, loved sitting in on the classes. The students were very very nice to her and made her feel very welcome. She can most definitely see herself there next year and is really looking forward to it. We sent her there alone to form her own opinion without any parent input.

way2bizEnow, that was the exact situation for me! My parents showed up on the third day to pick me up and didnt even tour campus bc they said if I liked, it wouldn't matter if they did. However, I do think they liked it regardless of campus bc of the scholarship =P
