I guess I'll be the first to post. I am only going to take the SAT three times. March, May, and June.

My overall score was a 1690, so I am definitely going to retake. Yep, I'm definitely way below average (on this board). Luckily, I don't want to go to any Ivy leagues, so I'm not going after the 2400. I'd be happy with a 1900 shrug.

Studying... well, I am focusing on CR and W for the May SAT. I guess I'll just try to learn a whole lot of vocabulary, and learn how to write an amazing essay IN PENCIL, review grammar, take practice tests, the usual. June is strictly for the M part of the SAT... I have no idea how to raise the score, but I guess I will just take numerous practice tests to become acquainted with the types of problems and learn to skip ones that I cannot do.

After taking the SAT in June, I'm through. No more of this SAT stuff, it's a horrible experience.

When i looked at CB.com this morning i was embarrased at my CR percentile. Math was okay, 92nd, writing was not vailable, but CR. My CR percentile was 67th. I need to do bette like, 80-100pts better. I am competing for so crazy colleges, and 560 won't cut it. I will be READING READING READING all summer long and maybe retake the prep course, Revolution. Any ideas on how to drastically improve CR? Thanks,
ZN

I'm going to go over as much as I can regarding Critical Reading and Math in the College Board New SAT book, including taking individual sections in the Test section for practice...

2190 (M670, CR720, W800)... retaking in May. Okay dude. is there like anyone taking this test in May? Everyone I know is either skipping the date cuz of AP tests or is taking SAT II's. How do y'all think this will affect the curve (if it does at all).

1930 [590 CR, 660 M, 680 WS]... I'm shooting for 2100+. Getting an 800 on the math section (my ULTIMATE goal) is going to be tough, though. After I've read all of the CR and perhaps WS BS, my brain is kind of fried when I need it the most (to think just a bit more for those last 2-3 questions of each math section). June 4 for me.

1750 (500 CR, 690 M, 560 W)...I'll be retaking in May...I've been looking at the PR book and I'm seeing that now I'm getting like 520s-540s more often . although it is still low, i'm noticing that now some questions that i don't answer, i'm guessing at the answer, and it turns out being right...some other questions, i have it down to two answers, and in some instances, i'm right, and in others, it was the other of the two. i hope that for the May SAT everything works out well for me...

retaking for writing, i don't know use the rea 8 books for the writing sections? that and to get 20 pts more on reading, and those 10 bragging pts on math :)

Idk if anyone else did like me but when i took the real test I thought it was SO much easier than the Princeton Review practice ones that i answered the hard ones for every section, and i know that brought me down at least 20 points in each. =(

oh to prepare i probably will just do a billion practice tests....and study vocaba nd read alot

i hav emost of my princeton review stuff because i didn't do any hw they assigned to me and totally slept thru their classes...it bit me in the butt alright, but at least now i have material to actually go thru....

haha my SAT scores are BLAH
Total: 1910
CR: 610 (This can go up 100)
Math: 710 (This really should be 800)
Writing: 590 (This should be 700, with some practice)

Math will definitely be higher, my critical reading will probably drop a little because 750 was my highest ever, writing should be about same. Hopin to get 2250.
