Who isn't starting RD apps until ED decision comes in?

I submitted all of my apps, but I still have to submit supplements for Bates, Byrn Mawr, Villanova, and Mount Holyoke. :(
I highly doubt I will get into my Ed school, but I applied to 3 schools EA. I submitted my BC, American, Smith, and Holy Cross apps though. Thank god.

My son has approx 50/50 chance for Vassar ED1. He cant get motivated to"do" apps with the exception of handing out recs and requesting SAT's and transcript for the 12 other schools.

I'm another parent voting that you get those other apps ready now! You don't need to submit them just yet if you don't want to. But it is awfully hard to write good essays when you're feeling down after not getting accepted.

I encouraged my son to do some EA's, free apps and priority apps including his 2nd choice. My guess is his ED app will be deferred and I didn't want him to get further depressed by a big pile of applications to write. He held off on one reach with a supplement essay and the state (financial) safety with its own application.

I think the pain of ED/EA rejection would be less if you already have your other applications done, and ideally, out. Then that ED/EA app is just one of many.
