<p>I’m about 99% sure, but I can’t bear to enroll without at least knowing if I got into Columbia. Columbia was my #1 choice for years, but now I am struggling to imagine myself anywhere else than U Chicago, just based on the academic opportunities.</p>
<p>If it makes you feel safer, I got in and I have a 3.6 unweighted with an SAT score of 2140. Your essay is heavy in the decision, just a heads up. I’m probably going to end up there. (=</p>
<p>As I await decisions from Vassar and Dartmouth (and 10 other schools but those are my faves), it is truly getting harder and harder to imagine myself anywhere else especially as I talk to other members of the class.</p>

<p>I deposited yesterday. =D Was 90% sure I was going there anyway, but I waited to hear from all my schools first before committing. (Columbia was the dream for far too many years and I ended up getting waitlisted there and at Harvard so…) Not even upset though considering how in love with UChicago I am. =) Can’t wait to meet you all!</p>

<p>D is sending in her deposit today! After the admitted student weekend, she knows it is the best place for her to spend the next 4 years.</p>
<p>@dster, just that the faculty is not very good, and that they don’t really care about creative writing. Could be a rumor, I’m meeting with somebody in the department tomorrow to try and find out!</p>
