Who surfs?

I'm from central florida - Black's and Scripps Pier will be paradise compared to our long flat spells (currently 24 days and counting) and typically weak closeouts. Anyone know how many boards can comfortably fit in a dorm room (I'm in Revelle - in case dorm room sizes vary for each college)? Also, how far is campus from Windansea, Swami's, and some of the better points and reefs?

I'm gonna have the opposite problem as you. I live in Northern California, where we are constantly getting huge swells.

I am in Revelle also, but have not seen those dorms. I'm bringing two boards with me- a longboard and a short board, and that is probably pushing it.

I am pretty pumped about having Scripps Pier so close. When I was down there checking it out, I saw people climbing on the campus bus with their boards, and tons of people just walking down there from campus.

Does anyone know what mm peoples suits are down there? I have a 5-4-5 for my freezing ocean, but I don't really feel like roastin to death down there.

I've been told by several people that a 3/2 is fine all year and a 4/3 is "a little warm". I've also heard that it's skinnable in late July and early August, but only if it's 1 p.m., sunny, and glassy.

In Southern california you only need a long wet suit October-May, if that. The rest of the year a spring suit or just a rash gaurd will work fine. I live in Santa Barbara which is north of San Diego and I went out today in just a bathing suit.
