Whoa, I got a 66 multiple choice, 8 essay on my Writing, and I am totally shocked (Total score: 640.) Last time, I got a 790, with 77 MC and an 11 essay! Should I get this test hand-scored? I'm just reeling at the moment... I dropped 150 points on Writing!

How did you find out what you got on the essay/MC?

from the "send my scores to colleges" page, i saw my subscores.

I also did terribly on the Writing, and it was supposed to be my best section.

I am almost crying.

there's gotta be some error - i know i did much better than an 8 on that friggen essay!

well, take heart in the fact that most colleges won't weight writing as much as the others....

yeah what the hell i got a nine on my essay?!?!!?

im gonna go to sleep and wake up and go check later hopefully writing may have changed lol that score is NOT right... how could I drop 150 points?

***!!! i only got a 640, with 62 mc and a 9 essay

yeah, same here guys, I thought this essay went very well, but it was worse than my other scores--9.

I did terribly on the writing section, too-690. I am even considering becoming a writer as am adult (in addition to a career that actually produces money). I was expecting a high MC score, and I only got a 72. I HATE the essay!! I always get 8's. I cannot produce the mindless, formulaic essays they seem to be looking for! When I finished this essay, I thought I had done great, but I wound up with the same score as my admittedly-crappy May essay.

I did terribly too. 690. Compared to my 1600 otherwise...kinda score killing. Retake?

... I thought I did better on my essay, in all honesty. I got a 10, which isn't horrible, but in all my practice tests (with courses, etc) and in March, I got a 12.

I might try rescoring, because I'm freakish enough to care.
