I called on Friday, and she told me the guy from my department had been sick and I should call back Monday. I feel every time I call she tells me to call again in two days! Although, she has been nothing but nice. I will tell you on monday if I get accepted/rejected! At this point I just want to know so I can make a decision!

well everyone else is anxiously awaiting their decision and doesnt know whats going on with cornell, dont need constant reminders that someone else has already been admitted

im sorry if i made u feel that way, i will stop then… I know everyone is waiting and i know that all of us will be accepted at cornell!!! i still have not had the chance to celebrate “it” yet… I probably wont until july cuz im always busy… and i cant wait to meet all of u!!

xfer, don’t take it too personally. Things are a little crazy - we are all on the edge, but if we resort to bickering on an online forum with people we will likely never meet, the wait certainly won’t get any easier.

Dragon, we are all very excited an happy for you. We know how hard you had to work for your acceptance, and how it’s probably the greatest accomplishment in your life; it certainly will be in mine. Still, I hope you understand that it’s really hard for some people, such as xfer, to see you complain about not getting a package when we are still crazy about our acceptances. I know where you are coming from, and we are really happy for you, but give it another week, and we can all celebrate together!

Hey, I just answered one of the “Is ILR right for you?” questions =D

[off the website:]
"Is ILR the right place for you?

Ask yourself this: Are you a problem solver? The peacemaker among classmates? The person everyone turns to when there’s a mix-up, impasse, or disaster?"
“Yes =D”

my responses come from a moral standpoint of being courteous. if these were your friends from home, surely you wouldnt be bringing up your acceptance when they havent received theirs yet, although since this is an online forum i suppose all repercussions of such acts disappear.

Thx guys but if If it bothers some ppl, I can hold it up till u all get ur acceptance :)!!! that way we all can celebrate together!! I dont want to get into an argument or some sort :)!!! Reason I am on cc a lot is becuz I want to says congrats to u all when u get ur decisions!! I believe this year’s cc members have a very good shot! but aside from that, lets go on and approach another topic.

have u all finished ur financial aid forms? I just sent my parent’s W-2 forms to financial aid… Judging by the financial aid thread on the cornell section, lots of ppl are very satisfy on their financial aid…

but isnt financial aid for freshmen applicants a lot more generous than for transfers.
thats the case overall, dont know about cornell specifically

Financial Aid package in the mail today - had to pop on here and read through this thread to see if other people were getting this. Yes, that thing freaks you out, doesn’t it?

lol yeah pressurewave, it freaked some ppl out… For those that got it, did you guys applied for financial aid or did not finish your financial aid forms? and ill see u too chicago!

Chicago- When did you submit your application? (I’m also a Junior applicant from CALS, and I’m freaking out that my not hearing from them yet means I must be rejected…)

I’m a little worried I haven’t gotten mine yet. I’m an hour an a half away from Cornell. Do you think admissions told FA to just close my file if they’ve rejected me already? If FA and Admissions operate completely independently, why are the envelopes from Enrollment and not FA?
