Who's applying for Spring transfer 10'-Cornell?

Im thinking of applying next year’s spring term (ima freshman now, applying next year) and I also herd Transfer Days at Cornell are really helpful. So can I just visit transfer day this november? just to see how things are going and not be interviewed?? Is it totally fine? or is it mandatory to be interviewed, tho Im not applying this term…?

^^^Some of the colleges don’t even do interviews, so I’d guess that it’s not mandatory at all.

sry nothing related to this thread, but my computer died the day before the freaking bio test…and all of my notes are on my computer…great…it wont even turn on…sigh

oh and im sending this from the library :(

Can you take the hard drive out?

East- I sent another reply ;)

What is this mysterious transfer packet?? All I got from Cornell what the official guide for Transfers 2010. However, I doubt thats it, because I received it mid-september :S and it had no form whatsoever.

Wish I could go to transfer day :(

Btw, I was checking the whole rooms thing and there was this one particular residential house that the chef graduated from Culinary Institute of America. Once upon a time, I wanted to become a chef, and my dream school was Culinary Institute of America. So, I would love to be in that residential house solely on that reason lol i know stupid reason hahahaha.

Valvsu- So sorry to hear that :frowning: I know how frustrating that is trust me. You should take to a computer repair man. Maybe they can fix it.

there’s a cornell grad on the food network. i forget who it is though. maybe it’s the same one who went to CIA O_o

ps why am i a bum? i feel like i did nothing today.

I’ve read your reply, Jemma. I’ll respond within an hour after I finish up some other stuff. I’m starting to feel like I broke too many rules with my common app essay after reading what you’ve said about downplaying one’s current school :(

Ironic- If you feel like you did nothing today, then odds are that you didn’t, lol. Seriously, you don’t have to be active everyday. I wish there were days in which I could do nothing now but sit around and read comic books.

East- Noooo, thats not my intention at all lol Those are unwritten rules they aren’t necessarily the law. Don’t feel that way at all. No sad faces, always happy faces. lol

Ironic- Don’t feel bum, its good to have days when u did nothing. We can be productive 24.7. We need to recharge sometime lol Hmm, I didn’t know about that cornell grad. Would love to know who he/she is. I will google it tomorrow ;)

true, i basically did nothing but watch tv and eat lol so i guess that’s why. whatever, i have a weekend packed with studying and assignments, so i’ll let myself be lazy for now hehe.

I’d love to go to transfer day. The website says it’s November 4, 5, 6, but I can’t seem to register. Link anybody?

Also, I meant I applied for Fall 09, but I submitted my stuff on March 14th and got the decision sometime in May.

hi guys, when do you think decisions will start mailing? i read on the self service FAQ’s that it will be four weeks after the deadline, but might any colleges begin notification sooner? has anyone called?

^ I’ll ignore that for now…

It’s my birthday!

Happpy Birthday, Riley!!!

Eek, my application materials have been forwarded for review. Ok, breathe, breathe…Ok, I’m done lol

Are we supposed to get a transfer packet???
I dont have one!!!
Jemma, when did you submit your application?
Riley, Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday Riley =)

calpoly24, overwhelming evidence suggests we’ll get it back in November. People who submitted earlier and got their stuff forwarded to admissions earlier will most likely get it within the first two weeks. If you check out last year’s Cornell Spring 2009 thread, most applicants got it within the first week of the official notification month. About 2 or 3 got it a few days after that. Most likely, it’ll be the same for us (except moved up 1 month)

New people are coming to the thread and that makes me scared =x!

I think it’s just the transfer info stuff :frowning: who knows, maybe we dont get it until we get in. Damn.

Happy bday, Riley!

I’m definitely saying November. We applied last March, and got in in May for Fall of '09. So we should hear back in the same time span.

XD Azu, I thought the same thing. Stop infiltrating our group, newbies! Jk. But it makes me worry about there being more/too many applicants.

Java, Well, I sent my application on October 1, around 10pm. But my college transcript, college counselor evaluation and the instructor evaluation were sent early September. Meanwhile, my midterm report and high school transcript was sent on Sept 30. That said, my application was hold up because my instructor evaluation got lost, so I had to fax them a copy. Its all good though. I am utterly nervous. According to my calculations, I may be receiving my acceptance (Positive :P) around Nov 11 to Nov 21 (assuming they will take a thanksgiving break lol). My calculations are based both, for mail acceptances or emails. Either way. But this is a total hypothesis. I think will receive are decisions on during the month of November. Which if I get accepted you will all know what would I be thankful the most this year. Today is a see-saw Cornell confidence day. Ughhhh…hate waiting…not really…patient

Az- I feel the exact same way everytime i see a newbie popping in this thread, I see them with evil smiles lol. Its like they’re telling us…you are not alone hahaha.

Either way, Welcome to all of those who just discovered this thread :)

Water- Maybe thats it. :S
