McGill admissions posted on their Facebook page that they just launched the Fall 2018 application.
Does anyone know if McGill requires you submit all SAT test scores, or do they do Score Choice?
Are you applying from the US?
Do people who apply and just match the minimum ever get accepted?
@FitzgeraldFan77 If you are just at the minimum you will likely get your decision in March regardless of when you apply. The minimum scores increased a bit this year for US applicants due to a large increase in applications.
Applicants who are significantly above all the minima would receive decisions in late November.
@FitzgeraldFan77 i think some people do , and others dont . Depending on how many seats there are left and what faculty youre applying to.
Anybody applied yet? If yes can you like post ur stats like the people in the thread of 2021 did.

I’m still deciding whether or not to apply, because my stats are pretty weak. But here it is:
GPA: 3.7
SAT: 1290
ACT: 28
SAT 11: French 650, Literature 680, US History 700
My daughter has submitted her application, and application for major entrance scholarships. US/Canada dual citizen, living in America. Applying to Faculty of Arts (Linguistics) and Faculty of Arts and Sciences (Cognitive Science).
4.0 UW
34 ACT
11 APs
D has visited McGill several times and it is very high on her list.
@ShrimpBurrito pretty sure she is getting in, her stats are great
@Barekk What are your stats?
My son’s stats are…
3.6 UW
32 ACT
3 APs by the end of his senior year
Applying to Faculty of Arts only What do you think his chances are?
@FitzgeraldFan77 Since im an international student , my school is different. It is the hardest in my region. I am 4/70 in my class with a 3.75 gpa and a 1450 SAT. An honor student since freshmen year and im taking 4 aps this year. 800 in physics sat too. applying to faculty of sciences and the inter-faculty aswell
two*
Wondering if someone could chance me? I am a dual citizen attending an American high school. My unweighted GPA is 3.85 and my ACT is a 33, in which I scored a 36 in both reading and English. My first choice is the Faculty of Arts. Any input would be great.
@rueece Here are the minimum requirements for American applicants:

For Arts McGill is pretty much a safety.
@lexibla1236 I think he has a pretty good chance, arts are way easier to get in compared to lets say life sciences
@lexibla1236 His chances based on last year’s minima are good. My son got in last year with a slightly lower GPA and a 31 ACT. And he is incredibly happy at McGill. Now just hoping my youngest gets in next year!
Which faculty/ies was your son accepted into?
