Who's Goin'?

Connecticut

Jamz, I noticed you're from Southern Illinois. I'm about 15 min away from Chicago. I guess I'll be seeing you in the Parent's Club meetings or something.

-Alex

?? I'm in SC and no longer live up there. BUT GO CUBBIES! Good win yesterday. Nobody will be seeing me unless my alternate status changes. I've been told its highly possible so waiting to see. Wish I could say I'm in. Will let you know when I know. Gotta run. school......

Cubs..I'm from STL and not to start anything (just you know, friendly banter) but GO CARDS. Three game sweep of the Astros.....hell ya!!! Cardinals baseball the only thing I will miss from STL, hopefully I can catch some games aganist the Mets.

hope your status changes also, GOOD LUCK!

Hey. Ya ever been up in the arch on a windy day? WHEW! It sways! Friendly banter my butt. You know you birds are always picking on us. One day that goat curse will be lifted and we'll win the series. If we stop getting hurt that is....Yah, that would be cool to see some Mets games. Nothin' like wrigley field tho ;) If I can get myself to KP the only thing I'll miss about down here is the weather. And the food. Lard is one of the four basic food groups down here. Its all good.

Nope.....I've live in St. Louis my whole life and I have never been up in the arch.......its werid, but its one of those things, if you live in STL, you just never really feel the need to do. I'm going to miss toasted ravioli, you can't really find it out of the area.

You'd better get up in that thing before you leave STL. Just once. It'll make you feel like the two weeks at KP is kindercare = D Go on a windy day -No toasted ravioli? I'd be findin' me some yellow pages when I get to NY. Bound to be some up there. GO CUBS!

finally got medically qualified, and I just sent in that I am accepting the appointment. At least now it is official.

IM IN IM IN IM IN! See yall!

woohoo!!!!

But yeh. I'm fricken' euphoric... i've been running around today in the halls hugging EVERYONE. Picking people up, screaming, hollering, crying, laughing. My NJROTC cadets are all mighty proud -- and the guidance people who have been here the whole way with me got picked up and twirled around once or twice themselves ;D ... but anyway. Does anyone really do AIM around here? I know I'm always on... like... seriously. Forums are fun and all -- But I think it'd be cool to actually talk to some of ya'll real time, you know? I know we're not s'posed to give out info and all that -- but hey, it's all good. I'm Orbital Lore on AIM. Gimme a holla' and be all like "Hey hey, KP c/o 2009." and I'll be all like "Same same."
Might be a good idea to get to know a few fellow classmates and stuff -- seeing as how there's prolly gonna be under 300 of us -- we'll run into eachother really easily I think. Anyway. I'm out... got AP psychology practice tests to take. The main bummer about AP credits? They don't count at the academy... XD

I've got my own screen name now and Jamz can't stop me! HA! He's off at work then he'll sleep 1/2 the day away, then he'll go to his prom. Lets see.... That gives me almost a whole day & 1/2 to tell you about his personal life. He sleeps with six pillows. He screams like a four year old girl when he sees a spider. OK I'll stop. Seriously, I just want to tell you kids here that I think you are over the top and have achieved great, great things. There are so many that know of the hard work that you've done to get where you are! I must admit that in all this excitement, I have a spot deep down though that hurts for those kids that didn't get what they were working for. There is some comfort to be found however in the fact that even those put on wait-lists/alternates can indeed be offered an appointment. Don't give up the ship yet you guys! The underdogs are still rooting for you! You guys listen to cdb as he's the solid rock in this forum. Just wanted to tell you all good luck and PLEASE stay safe and well. You may see me jump in here from time to time and ask a question or two if you guys don't mind a MOM hanging out. I swear I won't lurk on you all the time :) We're wondering if any of you have given thought to your majors yet? Jamz is looking at Logistics. How about you cdb? Thanks guys! Oh! And Jamz sings Frank Sinatra ALOT........

See you guys on the 8th.

davygravy3-----glad to hear picked KP. This summer is going to suck yet rock at the same time. @ Jamzmom ....I think I'm doing Marine Transportation.

I am also going to USMMA in July. I will look forward to seeing all of you there for INDOC.

LeadinUSMC CONGRATS on your decision! Know you must be filled with pride and apprehension all at the same time. Take care of yourself while waiting for July 8th!

Yes, I am excited and nervous. It is great knowing I have the support of my classmates parents too. Tell your son to email me. We can get to know each other a little bit before we are thrown into a short but laborious indoctrination.

LeadinUSMC, Congrats....I'll be joining you on the 8th!! I can't wait, Indoc is going to suck, but be amazing at the same time.

Congrats LeadinUSMC! No worries about the email... I hardly check that thing anyway... send me an IM over aol instant messanger.. my screen name is Orbital Lore ... Yeups.
