Everyone's been talking about those "topper tier" schools!
I don't think EVERYONE on CC has been accepted to Exeter, Andover, Hotchkiss, Deerfield, Choate, etc-- or decides to go there.

I would by far go to either Groton or Andover, benev. I, by act of god, got into all HADES and Milton. I wish I had applied to Thacher, Choate, and Groton... though.

Groton is great, but it's so expensive. I'm a full pay. Andover, Exeter, and Hotchkiss are just as good, if not better than Groton.

I'd save like 40K if I choose Andover or Exeter. I just don't want to break my parents bank.

@principal- where are you revisiting. I don't see how you can count any of those schools out. They are far too good to decline admission to without at least visiting.

I, for some reason, loved Milton. HADES may be more regarded on this forum but in the world of college admissions just as well regarded (and looking at data, even better). I loved the courses and the campus.

I think I might be going to Peddie. Does the count as a somewhat lesser tier school? If I do go there, I'll be choosing it over Lawrenceville, though, so I don't really know if it is a lesser tier school. I told my mom it was in the 1.5 tier! lol

Haha -- I totally agree Peddie is Tier 1.5!

Doesn't have the history/pedigree of Tier 1, but IMO is definitely above Tier 2. I think you'd be making a good choice in Peddie -- Let us know how re-visits go

im most likely going to miss porters :D
its my top choice and its completely freee!!!! (2 merit scholarships + financial aid =D)
and thats definitely a second tier school..
i looked at andover and places like that but their music programs were...not the best...so i reallly like mps for that :)
