Alright, who (or who’s child) is headed for ASU in the fall?

Well, we wanted our son to choose ASU, but it looks like he's set on USoCal. Oh well!

Himom, since I went to law school at USC I can understand the attraction. He is an engineering major, right? I hope he is as excited about going to USC as my daughter is about going to ASU.

Yeah, he's an engineering major. Since AzSU would be free for him, we really wanted him to choose it, but of course he didn't. Oh well, I'm sure our kids will be very happy at their chosen schools. USC does seem to do a great job at helping place kids in internships & jobs, especially the engineers.

HImom -- two years ago my son applied to 11 schools. Ten offered him money, one did not offer a dime. Do I need to tell you which he chose? Two years later I am glad he made the choice he did. He is happy and has blossomed in many ways I did not think were possible. I sometimes have to remind myself of that when I am writing those bankruptcy-inducing checks.

Yeah, we really think he'll be happy & do well at USC, but the lure of free undergrad school sure was attractive. <sigh> We'll keep our fingers crossed that USC can be generous as well. If it helps him get a good career, that will be great too. Glad your child is doing so well at the school he chose. We are grateful that he has attractive options o choose among & so far USC has been great about keeping in contact & being responsive (tho I understand not everyone has similar experiences).</sigh>

I'm going to ASU in the fall.

Smary&Blonde<3, what is your dorm assignment?

I haven't got it yet, I just decided that I was going to ASU earlier this week. I'm hoping for anything on the north side of campus or McClintock.

My son's friend from Hawaii will likely be attending ASU unless one of his other schools is able to offer more money. He would prefer a smaller school, but full room & board is tough to turn down.

HImom, my daughter began this search thinking she wanted to go to Hawaii Pacific to be on the dance team. Amazing how kids change their minds.

Ill be there in the fall
