<p>And, to answer “Why do you want to go to UPenn,” don’t you think it better to give some concrete, school-specific qualities that are to your liking as opposed to a vague: “Because it’s a good school”?</p>

For specific schools, it is not too early (in many cases if not all) to go to their websites and look for any application instructions they have posted to learn if they require supplemental applications or if they do not use the common app.</p>
<p>Many schools ask for two essays, one in the form of why us, and another on an unrelated topic.</p>
