Why am I not in honors?

I KNOW i'm perfectly qualified to be in honors program (HS gpa, Rank, act)

but I applied very late and got accepted off wait list.
no one sent me anything about honors!!

they sent me some Lloyd hall scholars program

is that a "honors" program? Is that for sub-honors people?

can someone be in honors AND LHSP at same time?

Honors program only has so much room. Plus, beyond December or sometime like that they stop automatically accepting people to Honors college, and they require that you ask to be considered (and apparently write an essay).

Ummm, if you were a marginal enough candidate to be waitlisted, what makes you think you're qualified for honors?

When exactly did you apply?

I was in the same boat, accepted off waitlist and i originally put in an essay for pa ross and honors, they said since I was waitlist, they couldn't evaluate me for either.

because i applied late, and even AFTER the deadline

I guess that's the reason why you didn't get into honors. You applied late. You face the consequences.

I know a few people who applied like a month after the deadline and got in without being waitlisted. Maybe you should be honest with yourself and look at your resume again.

um... i got accepted kind of late, i read somewhere that you should submit a request to be in the honors program if you hadnt recieved somehting and you were interested. I did so, i got an email saying i was qualified, they had me right a little essay and i got in
