Nov 17 wasnt exactly the earliest to send my app in, lol, but do you think im still fair game for admissions??!

You have a good chance Pink Panther. You applied late, but your stats are very good. You are in the top 10% of your class, you have close to a 3.9 GPA and your SAT is slightly higher than the out-of-state mean. Plus your ECs are good.

Keep us posted.

do you know how much emphasis u mich puts on the sat2s? because i know my sat isnt that high, and my 2's are all thats really keepin me afloat

SAT II are not required. But if you did well, Michigan may consider them.

How important are the essays Alexandre?

I've heard conflicting stories

im pretty sure that the bigger the school, the less they care about essays

i thought itd be the other way around! like theyd actually want to get to know each student...lol, but im probably wrong. i really hope my essays wont affect my mich chances- one of them is REALLY cliche.

the bigger the school the less important the essay...think about it, a small lac of 500 freshman applicants is going to have a greater emphasis on personal aspects than a state university of 50,000, just think of time restraints

Yeah I've been putting myself under a lot of stress on the 500 word essay...my two short essays are money though :)

"The bigger the school, the less important the essays."

That may be true generally, but remember that Michigan just made the essays a very important part of the evaluation process. They count.
