Why do colleges want to see all SAT scores...

If they claim they only consider the highest score anyways.....

For example.. I got a 1930, then a 2180 (all 3 sections went up) whats the point of me sending all my scores to the college... I just sent my scores to UNC and I took their word since they "strongly suggested" you send all the scores even though they only consider the highest score.. I hoep my honesty pays off or something, I dont get why they want all your scores (other than super scoring purposes).

This also goes for UC's who ONLY consider you highest SITTING, yet they want all your scores... I dont get it.

Perhaps they want to see if your score was more from studying or natural ability. I don’t know why they would do this. But for example, if you got a 2300 then a 2400, they might think you maybe just made careless mistakes the first time, while if you got a 1800 then a 2400, they might think you just studied a ton and took test prep classes.

Just a possible explanation I thought of with since I was confused myself.

I think some of it goes back to the policies before Score Choice started … schools received all scores … and they still do.
