for me...i love d.c., the campus was just amazing, the old buildings and the big green were great, so much to do on campus, one of the top universities in the country, premedical track and med. school attached is perfect, i know the curriculum is amazing...also know some people who went there, and thought georgetown was great, obvious advantage to getting into georgetown med. school as well...i think those are the major aspects for me...keep the list going if you can

Yes, they REALLY do trick or treat on embassy row. We first heard of this on the campus tour. The Georgetown student that called my daughter a few days ago also said she went this year and had a great time. She named some embassy that gave out really good candy, but I've forgotten which one my daughter mentioned.

Yeah, the SFS students on campus especially took advantage of the trick-or-treating on Embassy Row (mostly freshmen, as well). I guess it's one of those things that every Georgetown student should do before they graduate, but my roommate said it was hyped up above what it really was. She said that most of the embassies gave out regular, assorted candy.

I've heard that for Government majors at the College or SFS majors, you're guaranteed an internship. That was certainly a big perk in my mind for applying to Georgetown. If I study poli sci anywhere else (even at Yale/Harvard) I can still only have internships during the summer, where at Georgetown I can get them all year round.
