Why does the Supplement (online) give you 300 characters but say...

to "Respond in two lines or less?"

*for the favorite books, authors, films, musicians question i put two lines for each one i listed. I only listed my fav. books, movies, musicians. Is this fine?

don’t hurt yourself thinking about this question, they just want to get to know you a bit better.

hmm no i think they really want it in 2lines. if u go print preview the page right, u will find part of it cut out if it is more than 2 lines. take a look at it yourself

I’m wondering the same thing, as on different computers on which I’ve looked at the Stanford supplement page, the number of words that fit on one line has been different… So what, exactly, is “two lines”?

BigMike knows what he’s talking about, guys. I would trust him.

two lines doesn’t refer to the lines in the box. it’s talking about two lines on the print preview of the supplement. Click the button that says “print preview,” it should be in the same row as the SUBMIT button. you’ll see what I’m talking about.

lol thats exactly wad I have been trying to tell…let them understand once they find it out…cant really convince them

the admissions office actually says they want it in 2 lines of the text box***
that would be about 15 words.

The admissions office doesn’t really care. They only skim this section anyway; it has no real bearing on the application process. I wouldn’t fret about it.

well this is pretty important. coz the same rule applies for your additional info section and stuff. There also more than a few lines would mask the rest of your info
