Even Princeton and MIT have sent me general information in the mail. What gives? Does UF think it's an ivy now?

Haha it almost makes me not want to apply there at all, if they get too snobby. :p

I don't think I've ever got a brochure (and I got brochures from MIT and Princeton), so I don't think it's anything new. Neither has my little brother and older sister. I dunno, maybe you just get the brochures when you visit the campus.

And I don't think UF will ever be as snobby as some of the Ivies and super elites, lol. That's just not possible. :) Except in sports of course, we can say whatever we want there.

Because they know people will apply and its expensive to send brochures out to every single person that would be considering applying to UF. I bet if they did, they would probably would have twice as many request as MIT and Princeton for brochures. The money can be spent elsewhere.

Yea but with the extra money made from the increase in applications it could easily be recouped, For such a popular school UF still hasn't passed the 30k application something which lesser known schools have accomplished Northeastern, Boston U etc... a bit more advertising could put UF into another category, I remeber University of Wisconsin-madision sending me a sick brochure, I applied even though i couldn't and wouldn't be able to go there, so basically they invested and reaped in money,.

But aren't BU, Northeastern, etc application fees more expensive than UF's? When I applied to UF 3 years ago it was $30. Most of the other schools I applied to were double that.
