Why I love my Dad...

So tonight is the first night I've ever been left home alone (parents are out of town).

Just sent my dad a text saying "Man this party is crazy I'm so wasted there's got to be 500 people here. Ahhh hold on let me go pick up the needles we left on the ground".

He responded, saying "Practice safe sex and save the leftover drugs... don't tell Mom."

Just made me happy, thought I'd share.

In reality I'm writing my college essays. But just to be slightly rebellious I'm smoking hookah while I write... I'm a nerd.

120% BS on this.

Why BS? My dad just has a sense of humor and knows I was joking.

That's not a reason to love your dad =</p>

Crash and burn.

That sounds like an awesome dad =) Glad you feel that way. It's so cool to have nice parents.

More importantly, it"s nice to see that you have the kind of relationship with your Dad that you both feel that you can text each other with those messages. Sounds like he is a good listener w/o being an alarmist and all the while knowing that you were both joking! You are lucky-many parents would be alarmed by that message, overreactive, etc. We have tried to maintain the same sense of listening with our own son!

Haha it's cool that your dad understands you like that, as well as that type of humor. If I sent a text saying that, they would be right at the door two minutes later with a fire extinguisher and the National Guard.

haha thats hilarious my dads the same way

I wonder how my dad would react. Probably blink a few times and send the same thing back.

dude that was so funny and cool.

I got an idea. Why don't you text a message saying "Dad call 911! I just got cut in the throat in the backyard."

it will be epic.

Omg no I don't think that would be too funny...
