Why is Brown called so?

<p>Brown University isn't the school's original name. It used to be called the College of Rhode Island but eventually the location changed and the school was named 'Brown' after two of the signatories of the charter that originally set up the College of Rhode Island....Nicholas and John Brown.</p>
