why is ucsd so boring

you have 187 posts, i have less posts. you sat on ur ass more than I did to type these comments. your username calls yourself stupid.

i win.

Hahaha. Yeah, I don't really care...

sorry, Stupid (i guess ill call you this for short since i do not know what a fambloo is) obviously you did care, or you would not have replied

No, sweetheart, this is an internet forum, people reply to posts directed at them.

And because I'm in a nice mood, stupid fambaloo is a song title.

Now run off and bug other people, k? :)

Unreal, by your logic, you spend more time per day on these forums considering your post/day count is higher than her's.

But then again, you won't be willing to mention that--would you?

yay oyama! u researched for once! woot! stupidfambloo called me a sweetheart, i love it!!!

hm i guess i did not realize i have more posts/day, good point oyama-san. but im just getting the hang of cc

I can be a pretentious ass as much as anyone, but I do enjoy helping out where I can. If there's ever anything you think I can help you with, feel free to ask.

Yup, guess who lives 2 miles from the UCSD campus, and guess who declined UCSD because the university sucks...

j/k, j/k. But anyway, Cal is so much more lively than UCSD, it's not even comparable. Plus being a commuter to UCSD I heard is a pretty miserable experience, the lack of campus activity makes for very little interaction between the on campus residents and the commuters, or so I heard from two pre-med sophomores going there.

Strykur - Ya, from what I hear, it sucks to be a commuter with the school. Probably a lack of large sporting events for all the school to gather at being a major reason.

IMO, its really the only thing LA and Cal right now have on SD - D1 teams. With them, the schools get more attention nationwide and their entire senses of community increase.

Once that problem for UCSD is fixed, it will easily be better than UCLA and Cal, though. ;) Only that'll be when I'm an old man donating huge sums to the school =P

Sdsu > Ucsd

Division 1 sports aren't the only things preventing UCSD from becoming a premier school; another component is the appeal of an established Business school/program.

Berkeley has Haas and UCLA has a top-notch Business Economics major that is highly recruited by the Big 4 and other companies.

At the same time though, many big-name schools don't have an undergraduate business school that shines (UChicago for example) but have very strong general Economics department. UCSDs Economics isn't one to be scoffed at, either.

I know that (I'm in UCSD for Joint Math/Econ), but for people who want to endeavor into a prospective career in Business, it's much more difficult when your only available major is Econ.

Many companies tend to overlook schools that don't offer Finance/Accounting because they're the majors that tend to produce the most analysts, iBankers, consultants, etc than any other business-oriented majors.

True, but the question after is how much does one really want to go into those jobs straight after Undergraduate? Sure, you need work experience to apply to Business Schools often these days, but is it really necessary for it to be from the top companies? In the end going for the higher degree just seems the better plan.

Though thats just getting into a whole different topic than this thread =P

Indeed. We'll leave that discussion for some other day.

Let's just leave it at: Business school would be a plus to UCSD's already revered diversity of majors, yet not needed for it to become a Top 25 University.

agreed :)

A temporary peace =P

but zarqawi's death will not bring peace to iraq!

bush sucks! impeach that mofo!!!

Well that seemed....... out of place in this thread..... just a little.....

we were talking about "peace"..make the connection!

my fob friend said he got a "myface" today and i laughed at him

hahah about the hot girls issue.... all of my cousins who live in san diego have made comments about the unattractive qualities of the girls. not that it's true, just that its the stereotype
