Alot of people on these forums are talking about how there is limited amount of time to improve by big margins from Summer on to October. I was just wondering why some of the people who are don'[t take it on November? One month of PREP can be a difference between one tier college and another!

For me, it seems like it would be too hectic to take it in November since the college I’m applying to takes tests up to the end of November for EA. I’d like to know what score I got before the results come in for EA, and I just feel better knowing there is a month of buffer before the SAT deadline and when I take the test even though I am going to automatically send it to that college.

The earlier, the better. As dirtysocks45 stated, many applicants are going for the EA or ED options where deadlines are somewhere from early to mid November. It’s also a hassle to deal with school, applications, and that one test score that all your schools basically require. Many students want to get rid of that stress earlier so they can focus more and pick at their essays.

And some scholarship deadlines are as early as ED and EA. Nov 15 was deadline for Ds honors college/scholarship application.
