like the title says why should i go to davis over any other school in California.
Is their anything about the experience of going to Davis that’s special compared to any other school?
Is their any amenities that make it stand out, etc?
What makes Davis better is the underlying question.
My major is Bio-medical engineering if that helps.

Well first and foremost you need to know if Davis’s campus suits you. For example, while I love the campus, my friend can’t stand it (she prefers the woodsyness of SC) xD

Every UC will give you a great education, provided some programs are stronger or weaker at a certain UC. I can’t think of a specific reason why you should pick one school over any other school…this is due to a combination of many factors, which should include your personal compatibility with the school

Because I will be there.

Because I’m going. Who doesn’t want to meet me? Just kidding…

hmm i don’t know, because kevjumba goes there? there’s smelly cows?

^And by smelly cows I knew you meant to say nation leading veterinary research. Yes, you are correct.

I go to Davis. I never thought of the cows as veterinary research. It’s nice to now realize that. Before, I just thought of them as interesting things to have on campus :o but they do smell sometimes. XD

^Actually I don’t know, I kind of made it up but I’m sure it’s true to some extent. I’ll ask my grandpa next time I see him. He used to work there in veterinary medicine. I’m curious now too.

[100 ways that ucd transformed the world](http://ucdavismagazine.ucdavis.edu/issues/fall08/100_ways.php)
flip through the pages. tyvm. the one I like the most is the one about strawberries :)

The community, the opportunity in research, the bikes

^What can you do to make sure your bike isn’t stolen for as long as possible?

Buy a lock, the U lock is most secure but hard to lock both your bike and the tires sometimes so if you have an expensive bike get that with the cable also to protect your tires from getting stolen. If you have a cheap bike get a thick cable lock. Also I recommend that you get combination locks if possible since key can get rusty… Chain locks mayb good too.

Oh my goodness lol. I will keep all those locks in mind hahaha xD

If you want something secure and simple, but a bit pricey. Get a Kryptonite Evolution lock.
Kryptonite makes some of the best locks in the industry.
