<p>Is it just me or is it that this year not alot people are considering to go to davis ? Feel like i havent heard that many ppl are going to go there. Alot of them are considering to go to SB, Irvine or even better schools?</p>
<p>I think it’s because Davis is in the middle of nowhere and on weekends, there really isn’t much to do if you don’t have a car to escape to other nearby cities. At other UCs, like UCSB and UCI, there’s at least something to do in the surrounding area during the weekends (although I’ve lived in Irvine for 11 years now and find it boring as hell and the Irvine Spectrum isn’t really that appealing to us long-time residents). Davis is a fantastic school if you’re pre-vet, though, and I heard it’s also a great school for design majors. They also have a lot of internship opportunities.</p>

that makes sense now. Oh btw do you know if the design major is impacted?! Because i am really into their design program … And very eager to find out more about the major.</p>

it’s ranked higher than UCLA and every other UC except berkley in biological sciences… just putting it out there.</p>

<p>I personally wouldn’t consider Davis “in the middle of nowhere,” and I’ve found a good amount to do on weekends. Plus, Sacramento’s a free bus ride away.</p>
<p>My daughter is leaning towards Davis. One thing she likes is it’s quiet on the weekends, but then again we currently live in a city of under 10k.</p>

all the ppl surrounding me nobody go to davis . i will choose one between UCSB UCI UCD and PSU</p>
