<p>Hey guys, I want to go to Davis, but I still have thoughts about San Diego somewhat. People keep on saying that Davis isn’t a good school, and I just want to know WHAT Davis really is. I’m going to major in Bioengineering and I need to be convinced that Davis won’t be a regret =/
Btw, when is Davis’ orientation?
I’ve never been to Davis’ campus nor have I been to San Diego’s. However, I think I might go to the overnight program at San Diego.</p>
<p>They are both good, respected schools. Don’t let people put you down over that. May I ask, though what made you already decide on Davis? I think you should definitely visit both schools and see what programs they have to offer for your benefit. I personally go to SD and thus know much more about it than I do about Davis. I can tell you that SD is an extremely good school for the hard sciences and engineering (especially bioengineering). Even if you choose to go to Davis I recommend you try to intern in San Diego one summer because it is booming with biotech companies. Good luck!</p>
<p>Well, I would love to go to San Diego. The only thing holding me back if my family and boyfriend. I know it sounds really ignorant, but I’m not one of those typical teenagers that would give up an opportunity to be with their “lover” because I do love him a lot, vise versa. I live in the Bay Area also… I do plan on visiting both colleges. I just signed up for the overnight program for San Diego and registered for a tour at Davis… :/</p>
<p>O, you should really consider distance when deciding ur school. there’s a loto f people who get homesick and live real far away to visit.</p>
<p>I also live in the Bay Area, am also deciding between UC Davis and UCSD, and also have family and a girlfriend to consider. I am also leaning towards Davis. I used to live in San Diego and didn’t much care for it. The people in particular. But the La Jolla area is nice for weather and the beach. If you’re into spirit, Davis. If you’re into cutthroat academics, UCSD. Good luck!</p>

<p>I want to be able to take my boyfriend with me to the overnight program so he can see… and agree with me that SD would be a better choice
