Why would cpp ask for documents if they don't intend to admit you?

Okay, hear me out for a sec.
It says that my application has been reviewed and that my SAT scores are needed. If they had 0 intention to admit someone, why would they ask for documents that waste the applicants and admissions time?
I was asked for my SAT, sent them in, but I don’t think I have a chance to get in since I applied for an impacted major. But do they ask for that stuff if they actually like your application? Getting worried clearly haha. Does that make sense to anyone?

They need it to confirm your actual scores. I imagine they send out that email to all those with missing materials

I understand that, but let’s say based on your self reported scores that they don’t like you/don’t really want to admit you. They already know your scores, even if they are self reported. So would they even bother or just send out a denial?

What major did you apply to? Everybody needs to send in scores and then they will review your application. They don’t review your application and then decide if they want your scores. Everybody needs to send them in by the deadline if your are a freshman. Good luck and I hope you get in.

got it, thank you. For whatever reason I thought it was the other way around. I applied for Kinesiology exercise science option. I made my secondary choice for Econ. Also, do you think that if they don’t want to admit you for one major, that they’d look at your second choice? I’ve been trying to decide whether or not I should change it to my second choice.

CPP will consider your alternate major, so if you are not accepted into your first choice, you may be accepted into your 2nd choice. I would leave the majors as listed.

Thank you, Gumbymom. Much appreciated! I was stuck at whether or not I should try to change them/switch them.
