Do you seriously think Ron Paul has a chance at all? It's only on the internet you see im endorsed. I've never even met anyone in person who has mentioned his name.

Crap - thats right, I forgot I'm supposed to just jump in line behind one of the so-called 'front runners' just because they are first in the "many polls Figgy has seen". Forgive me
Unfortunately for you, I choose who gets my support by whether I agree with them and their views, not because I want to jump on the bandwagon because they are first in the polls.

You probably only see online polls as well if you say otherwise. But guess what...HIS SUPPORT IS ONLINE. Take it into the real world and he has nearly none.

Another brilliant statement that I have no reply to - oh wait, yes I do! Are you honestly so naive that you see a sharp distinction between people online and people in the "real world"? Are people who post online and vote in online polls somehow "fake" people whose views don't count offline? Thats interesting, considering the number of people who use the internet on a daily basis in this country. It seems to me that a lot of support on the internet would have some sort of correlation to general.... well, support. ;)

I think I'm backed up on this by Ron Paul's donation numbers. I guess since they come from people who use the internet, you must think its fake money and not worth anything.

Ask Jim Zumbo what he thinks of your view of the internet - he's currently unemployed because of it.

** Ron Paul? I love that guy. ** Everything he has said in the Republican debates is completely true. And the only reason he DARES to say stuff like that in the Republican party is because he doesn't take this race seriously. Come on people, get informed here. Ron Paul is simply "running" for President cause he wants to speak out on the issues (he's right on all of them). But he doesn't really want to be President (so quit dreaming about him being one). If he really did want to be President, he wouldn't be saying all those things cause the Republicans will never nominate him.

** Lets all shut the **** up about health insurance. It's stupid to keep debating. **
I fully support privatizing many aspects of this society. However, there are certain things you simply cannot privatize, and that is health insurance (when someone's life is on the line). I think the Liberals who think Universal health insurance is possible are idiots and come off as lazy and selfish. I ALSO think my Conservatives who believe Universal health insurance is not possible are also idiots, and come off making us look like selfish bastards.

I mean, I am in an upper-middle class family. But only because my parents work 20 hours a day, 7 days a week. I admit, I do feel that it is wrong to sacrifice my parents' blood, sweat, and tears, to pay for someone else's health insurance simply because that someone else didn't work hard enough. On the other hand, my parents (who are also republicans) are philanthropic enough to be willing to pay that increase in taxes......to an extent. I think we should define who should recieve this "universal" health insurance. It's not a matter of whether we should have it or not. I think that's a given: No human society should ever have to see its citizens die because they didn't have health insurance (take the recent example of that single mother who died vomitting blood on the hospital floor cause the nurses wouldn't do anything since she wasn't insured). I think, if the entire country contributed to this system, instead of just the "upper-class," then that is perfectly fine. I also don't think this "universal" system should encompass illegal immigrants (thats 28 millions off the economy's back already).

Icarus...r u kidding me. He obviously has inflated support on the internet becuase he has ONE PERCENT OR LESS in all official polls. Nice job there lil guy.

U can support who you want. I really don't care.

The numbers won't be officially available until the end of June (which is when this quarters financial statements are due from candidates), but all rumors have been pointing to Ron Paul having a significant chunk of change. Also important is the fact that he has no debt whatsoever (compared to millions of dollars in debt that most of the other candidates have), and is very frugal.

I think that obama will probably be a much more honest and upright candidate because he knows that he is essentially representing all of black america as the first black president. I think he is well aware that he doesn't have the room for slip ups enjoyed by white presidents simply because of whom he represents in the eyes of the people.

Um Al Sharpton ran and he got almost no black votes, maybe 23% or so. hardly important.

The fact is Kids dont vote, so all of the hype on the internet will not matter, as in every election past, kids dont vote. I mean usually under 30 or so.

So it doesn't matter if you vote for obama or not, he has absolutely Zero chance.

Look at the polls, Hilary is steadily increasing while obama is steadily decreasing.

The Honest Black Adult is not going to vote for a Black President, Polls have show this in the past, they don't trust the countries fate with one.

Any Adult is not really going to vote for a woman, well she is a woman and women have absolutely no experience of positions of great Power such as the president of the USA. Women are just to sensitive and weak to get the job done. There is a reason even most women wont go see a Woman surgeon for major surgery. They dont have the confidence needed. Hilary will win the Primary, but no shot at the General.

------------- Mitt Romney
Hilary Vs
------------- Rudy Giuliani

Sorry to burst your bubble, but even after Bushes bad ratings, you liberals still dont have a chance, you are dreamers.

edit: but omg, goat. i just re-read a lot of this thread.
... are you kidding me? I'm now ashamed to say I'm a republican because of you. It's people like you who speak so fool-heartedly for one side and have been preached such propoganda that make other people think republicans are idiots.

MBP exactly....exactly. I mean at my age I can't quite say where my affiliation is. I think it'd probably be better if everyone didn't have one. However, I lean liberal......but this guy is what makes people question republicans. Not the logical ones like Chafee was.

Goat is the reason why I very much hate extremist republicans. They preach hate and bigotry. What do extremist liberals do...preach love? Shame on u goat.

Obama has NO record of being a compromiser and working in a bipartisan way. Quite the contrary. He has always voted with his party on major issues.

Find me one significant achievement of Obama's in national goverment.

He is all talk, but no action when it comes to working in controversial bipartisan legislation.

Obama did say in a speech in 2002 that he opposed the Iraq invasion. Many people in this country would believe that showed good judgement.

But after the invasion in 2003, when it looked like the invasion was successful Obama shifted. He said his position differed little from Bush's.

And 18 months ago before the surge, he said it would fail to reduce violence.

So has Obama shown good judgement? Even if you accept the argument that he was right in 2002 he was wrong in 2003 about the insurgency and wrong in 2007 about the effectiveness of the surge, which has been a spectacular success.

Obama doesn't have the experience to be president in time of war.

Maybe with one or two more terms in the Senate or better yet, one or two terms in the Senate, then followed by experience as a Governor, for Executive Experience.
