Although it could make for an interesting essay to say the least, I think the goal is not to alienate the people who read the admissions essays. There's a line, and chances are you'll cross it. The think about admissions is that you have to get your (1,2, or 3) officers on your side, and then that person has to convince a majority of the committee to let you in. And if a somewhat staid person has to fight for you, they won't fight hard at all.

i definitely think standards have changed. as writers, we all became...worse. i actually read an article about that. it's due to this whole IMing, texting, lingo. we have an urgency to make our language concise and therefore, we're detrimental to ourselves...
about the masturbation, i think it's so unfair that just b/c it's a 'touchy' subject, everyone is saying it's crossing the line. i get very upset b/c i myself have written controversial pieces for my school and have been censored by adults. i mean, everyone knows it exists and it's a part of not only teen life, but adult life. what's the big deal about bringing it out in the open? and johnpeter sounds like he could pull off the maturity. give him confidence, don't deflate it this early in the game.

I'm certainly not saying he shouldn't, but I'm not saying he should either. I'm just saying it's a very dangerous line to walk. And I agree that it's about time we stopped acting like things like that don't exist, but I'm worried JohnPeter might be a martyr for the cause.

(: JohnPeter. If you think you can pull it off without sounding tasteless, then all the way: go for it. Power to you.
