Will 2017 National Merit Scholarship Application take old SAT scores?

The title pretty much says it all. I’m pretty confident I will qualify to be a National Merit Semifinalist due to my high NMSC Selection index, but was wondering if I would have to take the new SAT in order to be considered for National Merit. On the January old SAT I scored a 2390, which is why I was hoping I wouldn’t have to take the new SAT in case I score lower.

It does not make sense that they require you to take the SAT again.
Furthermore, if you plan to go to a school that does not offer merit scholarship then the PSAT has no meaning.
Congrats on your high scores.

In the past, an SAT score anywhere from October of your sophomore year through December of your Senior year was good for the NMF application. I don’t think this will change just because the test changed.
