Should I submit an art portfolio? I'm planning to minor in studio art, but my artworks aren't spectacular. I've heard that bad portfolios are more likely to weigh you down than help, so that's worrying me a bit.

The colleges i'm applying to are mostly LACs, if that helps.

^^ I don’t see anything either, so maybe the art work has been taken down.

When you submit an art portfolio (or a research project, computer science examples or music supplement) your work will be compared to all other students who have also submitted a similar portfolio. Therefore, whatever you submit must be of very high quality. As “high quality” is a subjective term, I would suggest you google “high school art portfolio’s” and compare your work to those found on different websites. If your work is of equal or superior quality, then you have nothing to fear. However, if your art work doesn’t rise to the very top, then you might be better off not submitting an art portfolio, but writing about your passion for art instead.
