Will a C keep me from getting in?

<p>I have had straight A's all through high school in a Full IB Diploma course load except for one C in a semester of IB Precalc.</p>

<p>34 ACT, 2240 SAT, good extracurriculars, white female with no need for financial aid.</p>

<p>Will that one C keep me from getting in?</p>

<p>Ur prbly fine. Your stats and academic record are fine for Penn. However, are you going for Wharton? If you are, your test scores are kinda borderline. Plus, the fact that you got a C in a math class will not bode all that well for you. So, you may be in a little trouble if u r applying there.</p>

<p>To further prove that it won’t keep you from getting in, I had a C in Geometry on my transcript. It may lower your chances, but it is a very minimal detail (I was admitted into Wharton).</p>

<p>And I don’t know about Wharton, is it possible to double major in Business and Comm?</p>

<p>Wharton actually has a dual concentration between marketing and communication. </p>

<p>My friend straight up did a double major in marketing and comm since she was in the College and she loved every bit of it. Now she’s off to AmEx next year for work.</p>

<p>Sometimes, even if you work hard, you may not do as well as you want to, and sometimes you may not do as well as you should have. It’s really more about what you learn from your mistakes and also about the work you have done in its entirety. Especially if you get a C during your first semester of high school, people know this. While you could have done better, don’t stress too much over it. Everything will work out. Sometimes when you think you didn’t do that well in a class, there are a lot of other people who feel the same way.</p>

<p>No. That would be about a 3.95 UW GPA I would guess. With a rigorous course load a single C wont keep you from getting in.</p>
