Will a college accept SAT scores submitted after application deadline?

I want to retake the SAT on January 23, the problem is that the application deadline for NYU and UPenn are both January 1st, will it still be counted?

Regards,

As with all these school specific deadlines, check the website for the schools where you’re applying.

Many schools will accept the test given in the month of their deadlines. But to be absolutely sure, check with the specific schools.

Lather, rinse repeat.

NYU says no

[NYU > Undergraduate Admissions > Applying for Admission > Freshman Applicants > Standardized Tests](http://74.125.95.132/search?q=cache:nT9zMnFLJ_4J:admissions.nyu.edu/applying.for.admissions/freshman/standardized.tests.html+nyu+latest+sat+test+date&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us)

Penn says yes, but only if it’s a retake and you’ve already submitted scores
