I just graduated and I have a 69.2 in AP Psych. For the past month, I have been missing a lot of school because I have a severely ill little brother. I have been taking care of him while my mom is at work. All my other teachers are overlooking the fact that I missed a lot of school...so they're all going to give me the grade that I got before I started missing school. Except for my AP Psych teacher. She is planning to give me a D and won't even round up. So it looks like my last semester of senior year will conclude with 4 As, 1 B, and a D. Is it likely my admission will be revoked? I really want to go to Berkeley so bad.

that's a tough one. I think that if you send a letter vividly detailing the situation they might let you squeeze through. But I'm not sure.

Good luck with that.

I think they could revoke your admissions if you got a D but if you do explain the situation thorougly to them I'm sure you'll be okay....I think. Good Luck and what happened to yoru brother was unfortunate. :(

yeah send a letter to cal and perhaps to your principal also. Maybe he/she could convince berkeley along with you. your psych teacher is a real &*$%^ i means its just .8%

These "revoked" threads come up so often and yet no one has ever been revoked. And you actually have a valid excuse.

how do YOU know for sure nobody's ever been rescinded?

I have a friend who had a D (69.8 or something) and he wrote to the admissions office telling them about some pyschological troubles he'd had and they pretty much said it was okay and "welcome to cal".

I think in your case, you have a valid reason. Explain the situation and I think they will understand. Good luck.
